Boss Audio ATV25B vs ATV85B

In the previous article on the Best ATV Speakers, we did a very brief review on the Best ATV Speakers Reviews. In that article, we reviewed the Boss Audio ATV25B. While we initially zoomed in on the Boss Audio ATV25B, we came across another variant of that, which is the Boss Audio ATV85B. There isn’t much information pertaining to the difference between the ATV25B and the ATV85B, hence we intend to do a comparison between both models.

Boss Audio ATV25B vs ATV85B

In all honesty. there isn’t much difference between the two models. Both of them are weather proof, and both of them can be connected to your smartphone/music player via the Bluetooth technology or the 3.5 mm audio jack. Similarly, they are constructed of the same materials and the weather Proof 1.5″ High Performance Soft Dome Tweeters.

The main difference between both models is that the ATV25B have the 6.5″ Poly Injection Cone Speakers whereas the ATV85B have the 8″ Poly Injection Cone Speakers. With this, it means that the ATV85B is able to produce the lower frequencies sound better than the ATV25B. Given that the frequency range for both model is at 45Hz – 25kHz, certainly the ATV85B comes out tops with its 8″ Poly Injection Cone Speakers.

Also, both of the models have the built-in amp. This really helps to boost up the quality of the sound. Having said that, the amp for the ATV25B is rated at 450 Watts while the ATV85B have a 700 Watt amp. For the layman, a higher rating amp will produce a better sound. When the powerful amp is paired with the larger Poly Injection Cone Speakers, the sound produced will be of a much higher quality than usual.

The Verdict

In terms of functionality, both are pretty much the same. Hence, if you are not much of an audiophile, you can purchase the ATV25B. This is because the ATV25B is more affordable than the ATV85B. Having said that, if you are an audiophile, or you love to blast loud music while roughing out in the terrain, then the ATV85B is the top choice for you.
